Fire Extinguisher Inspection,

Recharge, Maintenance, and Installation

Fire extinguishers are required by NFPA 10 to be inspected annually. Inspecting fire extinguishers is a quick and easy process. The inspection process includes checking that the fire extinguisher is not damaged, has the proper pressure, is the proper weight, and that it is the correct fire extinguisher for the hazard being protected. One of the most imp0rtant parts of inspecting a fire extinguisher is checking the date of manufacture and the date of the last 6 year maintenance or hydrostatic test. Fire extinguishers are required to have internal maintenance (6 year maintenance) and hydrostatic testing performed at certain intervals (5, 6, or 12 years).  Once we complete the fire extinguisher inspection we will know what size and types of fire extinguishers you have, where they are located, and when they are due for a 6 maintenance or hydrostatic test. We will then work with you to make sure that the maintenance is performed and all of your equipment is up to date. We will communicate clearly with you on the process and cost so that there are no surprises. We have a few different ways to complete the services and we will work with you to select the plan that works best for you. One thing is for sure, you will not have any down time or go without fire extinguisher coverage!
